Total: __ missing teeth! (and counting.....)
If a first grader loses their tooth at school they get a tooth box, a tooth sticker, a tooth award, and a tooth sticker to put on our chart. If your child loses their tooth at home, please have them let me know so I can have them add a sticker to our chart. Contrary to what some of the first graders say, I do not need to see their tooth (you can leave that for the tooth fairy). :)
Teeth Poems and Songs
I Brush My Teeth
(Jingle Bells)
I brush my teeth, I brush my teeth,
Morning, noon, and night.
I brush them, floss them, rinse them clean,
I keep them nice and white.
I brush them once, I brush them twice,
I brush them till they shine.
I always brush them up and down
Those precious teeth of mine.
I eat good foods, I eat good foods,
I give my teeth a treat.
I always eat fruits, breads and milk,
Vegetables and meat.
If I eat sweets, if I eat sweets,
I brush right away
To keep my teeth shiny bright,
And free from tooth decay.

A Toothbrush
(Yankee Doodle)
Of all the things around the town
A toothbrush is a dandy
Brush up and down and all around
And stay away from candy!
Little Tommy Toothbrush
(Eensy Weensy Spider)
Little Tommy Toothbrush
Had a big job to do.
He spread himself with toothpaste
And jumped up to scrub a tooth.
He scrubbed and scrubbed the germs away
To prevent tooth decay.
Then Little Tommy Toothbrush
Jumped down and said "Hooray!"

Got My Toothpaste
(Twinkle Twinkle)
Got my toothpaste, got my brush,
I won't hurry, I won't rush.
Making sure my teeth are clean,
Front and back and in between.
When I brush for quite a while,
I will have a happy smile.

Healthy Teeth
Did you brush your teeth today?
It's the thing to do.
Clean teeth will stay healthy
And work better, too.
You will chew food easily,
Flash a shiny smile.
Showing off your healthy teeth,
You'll always be in style.

MY WOBBLY TOOTH
Once I had a wobbly tooth
That wobbled to and fro
Everytime I ate my toast
I thought the tooth would go.
But then I ate a candy,
A sticky toffee roll,
Now where my wobble tooth was
There's nothing but a hole!
This Tooth
I jiggled it
jaggled it
jerked it.
I pushed
and pulled
and poked it.
But --
As soon as I stopped,
and left it alone
this tooth came out
on its very own!
My Loose Tooth
I had a loose tooth, a wiggly, jiggly loose tooth.
I had a loose tooth, hanging by a thread.
So I pulled my loose tooth, this wiggly, jiggly loose tooth.
And put it 'neath the pillow when I went up to bed.
The fairies took my loose tooth, my wiggly, jiggly loose tooth.
So now I have a nickel and a hole in my head.
