Mrs. Sondej

Hello!  My name is Christina Sondej (like the day of the week-Sunday)and I would like to share with you a little about myself.  I have known since I was very young that I wanted to be a teacher.  I started assisting with a Religious Education program when I was 10.  When I was 15, I taught my own 2nd grade class and was the 2nd grade level coordinator.  I taught both 2nd and 3rd grade for 7 years until I moved.

I taught preschool while I attended Saint Xavier University.  I have a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education (birth through 3rd grade) and have Special Education approval from the Illinois State Board of Education.

I am certified in Will County.  I have substituted for 1st, 2nd and 3rd grade and for a graduate requirement, I student taught 3rd grade.  When I moved out to DuPage County I taught Kindergarten for 2 years and this is my 8th year teaching 1st grade (and I love 1st grade!)  St. Dominic's is a wonderful school and we are going to have a fun-filled, learning experience!
