Super Scientist

Get ready to explore, discover, and experiment! Each month, we will welcome Super Scientists into our classroom to share an exciting science experiment with their classmates! 

When it is your child’s turn to be a Super Scientist, family members are welcome to join us and help lead the experiment, provided they have completed the online VIRTUS requirements.

How to Get Ready:

• Choose an Experiment: Use library books or the internet to find a simple, age-appropriate science experiment to share with the class.

• Keep It Short and Sweet: Please choose an experiment that takes approximately 5–10 minutes to complete. Experiments should use simple, classroom-safe materials.

• Sharing Your Experiment: Your child will have the exciting opportunity to demonstrate their science experiment for the class! Their classmates will watch, observe, make predictions, and discover what happens. The experiment will be presented as a demonstration, so the entire class will not be completing the experiment themselves.

• Explore and Practice: Your child will have time to discover, explore, and practice the experiment before their special day!

• Bring Your Materials: Please bring all the materials needed to complete your experiment on your scheduled day.

• Get Ready to Shine: On experiment day, your child will receive a lab apron, safety goggles (perfect for some adorable pictures!), and a special Super Scientist badge!

I will also create a Google spreadsheet so families can see which experiments have already been completed and help us keep our discoveries exciting and unique!
